"Shepherding the Family" Conference

Shepherding the Family ConferenceChristian Challenge is excited to bring the "Shepherding the Family" conference to Central Louisiana. Pastor Buddy RitterBuddy Ritter is a long-time pastor and advocate of children's ministry. For years he has championed the work of Awana and other children's ministry tools. Now he has teamed up with Awana's Rorheim Institute to bring the "Shepherding the Family" series across the southern United States.

Attendees will receive the "Shepherding Parents Workbook" which offers practical help in raising faithful children. With tips for family prayer time, building relationships, presenting truth to kids and much more, you'll be fully equipped for your biblical obligation. Also included in the registration fee is a hot lunch on Saturday.

This conference is designed to help both parents AND children's ministry workers. Here's an outline of what you can expect:

   

Parents will ...

  • Learn and practice five steps for having an exciting family night.
  • Learn what God says about your home and family.
  • Receive a family time management tool that will allow you to take advantage of God-given opportunities.
  • Learn six key characteristics of strong families and how to develop them.
  • Learn eight distinct mentoring styles and discover how they can work for you.

Children's Ministry Workers:

  • Discover 52 ways to have an impact in a child’s home.
  • Learn what God says about your home and family.
  • Discover 21 ways to build relationships with parents.
  • Develop an understanding of the forces that are molding children’s worldviews.
  • Learn six key characteristics of strong families and how you can help develop them.
  • Gain resources to support your ministry.
   

The conference will take place at Christian Challenge, 300 Pearce Road in Pineville, LA (MapQuest)(GoogleMaps). Cost is just $15 per person for the early bird discount ($20 per person after October 22). Your registration includes the "Shepherding Parents Workbook", refreshments and a hot lunch.
